Thanks.

RE: Best 3D / Hunting Arrow
IMO there's nothing better than the Gold Tip UL "22 series" shafts as a true dual purpose 3D/hunting shaft.
They're a fatter diameter shaft and will help you pick up some points for sure on the 3D course but not too fat that they will impede penetration on game.
The Pro 22's are an awesome shaft but you can get away with the regular 22's and cut equally from the front and back if you don't want to spend the cash on the higher tolerance Pro's . Generally cutting like this can get the straightness near the range of the Pro's and I doubt there are too many people who could tell the difference shooting them.
These are a pretty light shaft but spined pretty heavy so they make for a good hunting shaft on deer sized game. You will have trouble making 400grs finished weight as a hunting arrow unless you get into wraps and big vanes so I wouldn't go right from the 3D course to an Alaskan Moose hunt but you'll slice and dice deer no problem.
If I had only one shaft to use for double duty, the GT 22's would be my 1st,2nd and 3rd choice.
