I have seen 16 does in a hour during the rut and yet no bucks. Every now and then i get a little buck to come through but no shooters. I can never find any of the bigger deer to come through. I don't know if i am sitting in the wrong area or what. I have seen many does but no bucks have been chasing them at all and i have been in the woods almost every day in the past 3 weeks. Any input would help.

The best buck lure is a doe in heat. If you have does around you, then the bucks aren't far away during the rut. Maybe the bucks are hanging back in the thickets testing the air for an estrus doe. In this case try moving to the thickest available cover near where you are seeing the does. Or maybe like somebody else said it isn't really the rut where you are....

It was the rut and i know it because it was in november when this happened. I asked many different people if that was what was going on but they all said that it was odd, but they all new that the rut was going on.

two big rules to live by:
1. You have to put your stand on the trail that almost always paralells the doe trails. These are the bigger bucks' trails and they're generally a little harder to find, but they're the ticket to killing monsters. You have to put your stand inbetween the big buck's trails and the does' trail.
2. Where there's smoke there's usually fire. If there are lots of does using the area you MUST stick with it. Regardless of you not seeing bucks' you're seeing does and that's the ticket. You have to remember that where there are does, the bucks will be there eventually. The key to deer hunting is sticking with it. If you stick with it, good things will happen. Bust of luck to you and I hope you take a monster. Good hunting.

I'm not sure how big this area is but: 1- If you've hunted those 3 stands every day for 3 weeks they may just be burnt. If any dominant buck use your area.....probably at night. 2- I'd definatly work ove the area to the SE near the big swamp. If nobody else is bothering them, don't be afraid to hunt or checkout fairly close to the south row of houses.
Keep trying!
Good Luck!
