Muzzy or Shockwaves... DILEMMA

Muzzy or Shockwaves... DILEMMA
While shooting in my Shockwaves I decided to shoot a Muzzy 100 grain 4 blade that my dad gave me. It hit the same spot as my Shockwaves, and flew the same, and now I'm unsure as to what to use. I shoot under 30 yards, shooting 220 fps with a 541 grain arrow. My bow is tuned great (both style broadheads grouped together at 25 yards.) Which head would you use in my situation? Thanks.

With 58 ft.lbs., I'd feel safe saying the choice is your's. It sounds like you could have both in your quiver if you wanted. On really windy days you could nock up a shockwave. I suppose you have new blades for the ones you have been practicing with don't you? I, for one trust shockwaves and you and I shoot right at the same KE.
Are your groups just as tight with both? It feels good to have different heads hitting the same and a well tuned bow doesn't it?

I use the shockwaves and have no complaints. One reason I use mechanical blades is for the fact that they are safer to use for me. There isn't a chance of cutting the cables or string with mech. I don't know how many times I have brushed my strings with my arrowheads. With a regular Fixed blade broadhead I would have gone through about 10 strings so far.

I use them both. I like the shockwaves better due to the fact that they cause more damage than my 100 gr. muzzy 3 blade. I shot a do last wed. and got both lungs and some liver. She did not go but 50-60yds. but the hole was not what I expected. Shockwaves put bigger holes in them. Both are good heads and I will continue to use both of them but, I want to have a lot of blood for trailing them....use the shockwave.

Call me old fashioned. If I had mechs and fixed blades hitting the same, which I do, I'd use the fixed blades, which I do. I can shoot Snypers, Spitfires, Muzzy 100 (3 & 4 blade), and Magnus Stingers in the same spot with my bows. So I'll use the Muzzys & Stingers. At least to start. I may experiment with the mechs later this season.

I've decided on using the Muzzy's for the time being. For the basic reason that I just ordered some o Rings for the shockwaves. I've quit shooting them though, I buzzed off 2 vanes trying to group them. Im a true idiot for trying to do it twice.<img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle>

good choice josh. both are great heads, but with your setup i think the muzzy is better for you. the muzzy is the best head, in my opinion, made. i shoot the shockwaves..rockets(4types)..they r all great, but if i had to chose a head out of all of them...mUZZY

both are great heads, but being more of a fixed blade man myself, I would personaly go with the Muzzy heads. You do however have enough KE to shoot either head with very good results.

I as with several use both but at the present I am sticking with the Shockwaves they cut an awesome hole and I have never had to track a deer with them as all have expired within sight .
