I know I would. Thats what I want to get for my first deer with a bow. I had a couple chances this year and blew them.

I would shoot that thing at first light, of the first morning, even if it was the only tag I had!! so to answer you question, YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why I posted this is cause I had a 125 still in velvet Pope and Young Buck on camera at 22 yards. I had passed him up the day before at 15( not a good shot) and at 40 good shot. I dropped him at 22 yards right on camera.

I have passed on bucks before, and found myself not waiting for the rut, but next year.

I'm not a horn hunter either, you can't cook em can you? I haven't found a good way to cook the antlers yet so I'm not specifically after anything big. I hunt to eat.

If you have never harvested a deer before with a bow and that is your first deer you kill you might as well quit hunting cause you got no where to go but down. I would shoot that buck
