I got settled into a stand i had been saving all year, much to my surprise after being there for about 20 minutes the wind changed to the worst direction possible. It starts blowing NW, carrying my scent right into the bedding area. Not long after, i spy the legs of a deer headed my direction and i eventually see its a big lone doe, she freezes about 50yards out and catches my wind- and i hear that sound we all hate, The BLOW and she is gone just as quickly as she appears. Roughly about 15minutes later, i can hear a doe coming from directly behind me, again im cursing myself out- "They aren't supposed to come from that direction, its gunna catch my scent where i walked in, DAM!" Sure enough the old girl crosses my boot tracks and is off to the races again. All is quiet for the next hour, until finally i see a deer headed my direction from the East this time, i couldn't believe it but its the same lone doe that had just busted me twice. Only this time she got alittle to close before she decided to take off and i was able to put one through her lungs at 25yards





PS- For you Pa guys, she was shot on 10/16/05, i havent been hunting out of season

im from pa, and if you shot her with a bow on the 16th...i believe you were illegal
