Those that have hunted this area please let me know what areas are best and what the deer numbers look like? I've planned a week long hunt over there in December! Thanks and Good Luck this Season

LBL dosn't get the press it once did. There are some other areas here in KY that should provide better hunting. At least you won't be there during tick season!
LBL does have a good deer population so you should be ok, I know somewhere in Dec. the black powder hunters will be out but I can't remember the dates.
The best thing to do is look in the hunting guide & contact LBL. They will help you out and direct you to a good area.
Just remember that by then most deer will moving a lot at night.

I have hunted out there a few times. We seen a lot of deer in area 1. I think I seen 20 deer one morning. I hunted area 5 and did not see a deer. I would recommend hunting pennyrile state forest instad. It is open for bow hunting there are some big bucks in there. check the ky hunting guide.
