Guess The Shot Location
I shot a doe saturday and thought I would throw this post up for fun. Here is a pic of my arrow. It was a pass through and stuck 5 inches in the ground. That is why the broadhead is cleaned off. So, all you get is the picture. Choose your answer and add why. I will post the correct answer on Monday.
PS - Yes, that is a 100 grain Slick Trick and it performed very well.

Well, I see this thread didn't get as many responses as I thought it would.
Motown, good guess but nope. If I ever do this again, which I probably won't based on responses, I will take a closer pic of the vanes.
The arrow was completeley covered in blood but there weren't any bubbles on it. No fat on it and it didn't stink either. So that leaves the liver. The shot was farther back than I like but she only went 110 yards.
Thanks to all that played.

I voted liver. The amount of dark blood is highly visable, if it had been a double lung the blood should have been more pinkish. A liver shot is lethal but takes a while for the deer to expire.

I don't know but it looks like it went through a bloody part.

RE: Guess The Shot Location
That looked like bright lung blood to me. I shot a buck last year through the liver and it was dark with grainy material like sand on it.. There was NO GUTS.. Straight through the liver and it was ALOT darker blood than on That arrow..

Yeah I didn't post because:
1. You had already posted the answer. LOL (give it a week next time)
2.Photo was so small it was hard to see details.
I was going to say a muscle shot but it wasn't an option and you said you killed it.
As far as liver shots. Not that I TRIED to hit it in the liver but I shot a buck once in the liver and he died within 2 seconds. He ran 25 yards and fell into a creek below my stand, dead. But I'm sure the typical liver shot takes longer and I would definitely wait on tracking on one.

I guess she went down so fast because it was just the liver I hit. No guts and the diaphragm was intact. A 1-1/8 inch hole from right to left is sure to cause a lot of hemorrhaging.
I should have added a larger pic of just the vanes.
Now that you mention is Mathewsboy, there was a lot of grainy material in her abdomen.
