Default Python treestand question

With this stand, do you have to lock your arms to pull up the foot platform when climbing as with the API GS Bowhunter and Summit Bushmaster (ie. arms completely PARALLEL to the tree), or can you climb much more comfortably with your arms bent so the entire length of the forearm supports the weight as that part of the arm faces the tree?

Default RE: Python treestand question

Doug,
When I climb with mine, I'm gripping the top of the arm rest pads with my hands and my forearms rest along the length of the pad. I'm not using the flip up foot rest at this time but supposedly it will allow you to use the sit down standup method to climb. Hope this helps!

Nice stand.

Doug...

I second that of the Chief.

BTW...I sent Summit an e-mail asking them what I could use to waterproof the seat cushions.
