What is the hottest temp you have killed a deer?

It has been well into the 80's here in AL the last week or so. Since I'm new to hunting I am wandering if the deer still move as much when it is this warm.

They don't move as much for sure, but they do still have to eat. It seems to be well above nornmal all over and many of us have killed multiple deer. You got to go with what god gives ya. Good luck.

Yes, Ibelieve they move whenever they feel like it, no matter the weather. Back before I fell into the bow huntin trap, I killed a couple of deer with the ole smoke pole. My first was in a heavy downpour, 2nd was a tall racked 8pt, 3 &1/2 yrs old, tailing a doe in 90 degree weather. I was sweating my *#@^'s off. My lil boy was in the pics with me and he's just in his diaper. I'd post em , butthat was before I ever considered doin a clean up job on my deer for pics.

Last night, temps were 81 when I went out in the afternoon, 74 after sundown when I got back to the Jeep. It does bring its own set of problems, though -- as I wrote about in "Persistence pays off..."at http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1287972

95 -98 during crop damage. Shooting them with a bow is the easy part. Dragging the critters out in that heat is a killer.

I've killed them when the daytime high was 80-82 degrees. Probably some of the deer I've killed the temps at the time was easily in the 70's.
