Wheres the button for EITHER one.I would take either of them. Yea, its good to take a BIG buck but I wouldnt mind a doe ccause we ALL know the meat is very tasty.
i agree.

I have always preferred bucks....today I am committed to harvesting a big buck. Until the rut is over I will not shoot at any non targetted animals.

i have yet to kill a slob with my bow... but i'm a food man myself. got my first doe last year with a bow and i processed her myself. back straps were long and great. tenderloin was out of this world. i'd love to get a wall hanger, but i hunt state land and big boys are scarce and those that do wander on this land don't live long or leave in a hurry.

I said buck only because I have a doe in the freezer and have yet to kill a buck with a bow. This is my first year bow hunting and I have killed a hog and a doe so I really want to fill a buck tag. If I don't it's OK. The year to date has been a great success and I am ruined for life.

Meat in the freezer only last a year, but the antlers last a life time. I shot a 5x5 p/y whitetail 4 yrs ago that had a swollen neck during the peak of the rut, and it was some of the best eating venision I ever had. With the rut coming in, I'm not going to shoot a dang doe or a small buck, but come the last weekend of the season, I lower my standards.
