Heh heh... Good topic and good comments all.
Didn't your Mommy ever tell you it was a good thing to have an imagination?
Those sounds help to keep you on your toes...
If you are lucky enough to spend enough time bowhunting you will come to recognize (most times, not always) the difference in the cadence of the sound that a squirrel makes versus the cadence of a deer walking or even a rabbit for that matter...
Hunting that high up I hope you carry a parachute with you

I have been bow hunting for about 6 years and I still get excited when I hear noises that catch my attention. I think that I am getting a little better at deciphering what they are but seems like just when you think you have them all figured out something goes and throws you a curveball. Oh well I just keep on looking cause you just never know.

There is this one particular field where a tree and the brush around it gets me everytime I sit there. I've seen it probably 30 times, but still have to do a double take everytime. Just one of those perfect images.
I stillsay it's a deer ........ it just hasn't moved in 2 seasons.
