Here in NW MO a guy should have been out Sat-today. Lots of bucks moving, chasing does, etc. Sat AM I decided to take my dog out and quail and pheasant hunt. The bird success was suprising low while the weather would have been perfect for bow hunting. Yesterday I stayed with my family and went to church. In the afternoon I saw a 160 buck chase a doe in back of my house but it was getting late and my clothes weren't washed, etc. Tues PM, all day Weds, and Thurs PM I will be out. Then Sat rifle season starts. What is the action like in your area?

I hunted just north of Kansas City on Saturday. I saw a nice 8 pointer around 11:00 in the morning. As he was closing in he crossed my downwind path at about 40 yds and decided to head the opposite direction. This guy wasn't chasing anything. That evening I saw a couple of doe. Nothing was on them. I'll probably be out again on Friday.
