WAKE UP
Saw this at another forum ,thought I'd spread it around,,,,,,,,,,,,
"Over the last week two Michigan Hunters have died falling from their stands. One in Vassar, near Bay City. He was reportedly 35' up and not wearing any safety climbing gear. He leaves a wife and two children.
The other was near Kalamazoo in Van Buren Township. This man, also not wearing and safety climbing gear, fell 16'.
Neither men survived the fall. Make sure you folks are climbing safe, not just hooking in while sitting. Most falls happen while going up or down and the most dangerous point is the transition from the tree to the stand and vice versa.
You should be using a climbing line, just like the rock climbers."
