24 hours from now I'll be butchering my big fat doe. Fresh tenderloins on the grill tomorrow night. You know, we western NYers ought to get together and have a big game dinner at some point, eh?

This is going to be great. Me and the old man have Tuesday and Wednesday to hunt together this week. Opening day with your best hunting partner is the only way to go. I took off the entire week so I could be in the woods morning, noon, and night all week. My father is just begining to realize how insane I have become about hunting. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. No sleep tonight thats for sure. The old lady is already giving me crap about waking her up in the early morning hours. I CAN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE> I NEED TO HUNT NOW!!!!! Good luck to all of you NY Bowhunters and God Bless you.

OK. Me first. Got to my tree stand at 6:30 and right on schedule at about 8am two does and two fawns showed up. Not 15 yards from my stand but behind me and off-hand. Plus, they were all a'starin and a'gawkin and a'sniffin and a'twitchin at me and I didn't have a shot at the does. Then they left. Later a young buck (spike horn? must have been twoish) came by from the same direction, sniffed awhile and he left too. Went back to the same stand in the PM and saw nuthin. On the way out (crossing a field) I heard a &quot;scream&quot; and watched a deer running helter-skelter for the woods. Do deer scream? More like a screetch. Anyway, I got nuthin. I'm supposed to be butchering right now.

I got to my stand about 6:30 am and saw nothing .. went back to my stand at 3 . at about 5:30 4 does came out in the corn feild and thay came in about 3 yards drew back the bow there she go;s or her back at 30 yeards ......well i still have 32 more bow days left intill gun so i am happy i shot at one .......
