I am dealing with the smartest buck I have ever seen. He never stops moving on my property. He is 5-6 year old (guess) 11 pointer that will dress well over 200#. I have had him within 20 yards 6 times this season and nothing short of running out in front of him will make stop. I have tried bleats, grunts, whistles, and scent bombs...Is there anything else I can try short of spending 150 dollars on a carry lite decoy

I am open to any suggestions

Have you tried a mock scrape? I used one a few years ago to stop a running buck on a trail...he stopped and sniffed and.....

I don't know what to tell you, I haven't experienced that before. I'm still trying to work on stopping deer before I take a shot. I know if you make a noise it's supposed to stop them, but I'm more afraid of spooking them off. I've thought about trying a decoy, but didn't know how well they would work. When I'm out in the woods, I've tried doing some rattling and calling. It seems like the deer come out to see what all the noise is, but I can't seem to get them in close and thought a decoy might help. Oh, well....good luck on getting him.
