Default game cam pics

Hey guys FINALLY got a pic of a deer on my Moultrie camera Digital game spy. The one I was convinced is a POS. Any way here are the pics
Why did it trigger when the deer was so damn close? Should I move it up on the tree? I had it pretty low

Thanks
jim

...better do somethin' or you're gonna wind up with a buck rub on your stealth cam. LOL

That would be embarrassing.

Yeah, you might want to move it to a better spot. Try putting it near a scrape.

Looks like it must have mollasses on it or something. Those deer sure are intersted in it.

For some reason, if the deer is walking straight to the camera, it has to get really close before the sensors pick it up. I don't know why, but if the deer is crossing the camera, the sensors find it easier. The instructions that came with mine said that in that situation, the deer could be as close as 8 feet before it "sees" it. Maybe just move it to a different tree, turned 90 degrees from how it is now. One good thing.......at least you know it works.
