RE: PLEASE HELP (FAST) 170 class buck
Anyone else wondering why he didn't try to put the sneak on him? He was already 40 yards away. All he needed to do was sneak another 10-20 yards. Take an hour and maybe get a great stalk kill.

Good luck in whatever you decide. Hope you get him.

Reason for not stalking closer is because he was laying down in a very heavily weeded area, all i could see was his antlers, his whole body and head was under weeds. I guess i was just scared, i didn't know what to do, i just thought that if I were to stay there all he will do is smell me and then get up an run, my scent was blowing right at him. I knew today was supposed to be a south wind and that is perfect. So i got out there early before light, and sat. I saw a total of 16 deer this morning and that included 2 bucks That were in range and were good ones, but i just wanted the big boy so i passed them well about 12:30 rolls around and the wind is switching and blowing my scent right to where the big buck was bedded (I can see his bed plain as day from my stand). So i just quietly climbed down and came home for hte afternoon. There will be more chances at this buck, HOPEFULLY
