Although they are beautiful animals, they do have genetic problems that are not what you would want passed on. They can have a number of problems and should be taken out of the heard. Thats not to imply that they aren't a trophy or any one should break game laws to remove them from the heard. I have never heard anything bad about the meat and think someone was mislead in saying the meat was bad.

I have seen one of these in the wild before. It was a doe with about 4 or 5 other deer. She crossed the road in front of my truck and I had to stop. She was solid white from tail until ther front shoulders where she started to speckle then change to normal looking from about the mid neck to the tip of her nose. I would have loved to have had a chance at her from the stand.
