I lock my stands to the tree with a chain and lock. And as for as the bolt cutters go that is not a everyday fanny pac item.

Yeah, a chain and lock will work. I wouldn't count on a thief lugging a bolt cutter in the woods.

My opinon a thief is the same as a poacher, Chain and lock or cable and lock it wont matter if they want it they will get it, I have lost 3 stand's and all were locked down, maybe 660 volts would work

I use a bicycle cable and padlock. Bolt cutters don't cut the steel cable very well. It doesn't mean they can't be stolen, but might deter the bolt cutter carrying thief.

I use a small cable with a loop in each end, and a pad lock. nuthin will stop a sorry thief from gettin your stand if his mind is made up.
hacksaw, boltcutter, they'll go to any length. but at least they have to work to get it
