Default Question about the "can"

Yesterday I bought the "lil can" from walmart. It is designed for early season. It sounds almost like my old Quaker Boy 'bleat in heat' can call. Im guessing that I probably should have bought the 'original can' as well since it is designed more for the rut? I guess what I am asking is if there is anyone that uses the 'lil can' during the rut and have success with it? Next time at the 'mart' Ill pick up the original. Just wondering though.

BTW. The primos site has their own can calls like $3 overpriced then what I paid for mine.

As far as I know the only differences between the 3 Can models is the size. The larger the can the louder the call. Other than that it's the same sound. Don't let the marketing fool you. The Can products can be used any time of the year. It's not just for the rut.

Which ever size you have, just take the tape off the bottom hole and blow through it to make a louder sound. They work very well in conjunction with a rattle bag and grunt call

I never even thought about blowing thru the hole to make a sound. It actually sounds better that way then the 'proper' way. Its not louder but smoother I could say. I would still be using my 'bleat in heat' but it got clogged somehow.

I've had the "Can" for about three years now and never thought about blowing into the can but it actually does sound better. Thanks for the heads up.
