Default This was a first!

I was bow hunting the other afternoon. Saw some bucks off in the distance, but I need to take a doe first. As late afternoon approached, a doe was within 10 yards of me, but not out in the open for a clean shot. I pulled back and waited. She came out...but walked right at me and stopped. No shot that would have been ethical. She then bounces off behind me to go play with her doe friend in the field behind me. I was very frustrated, but cool she never knew I was there. Somewhat frustrated, I decided to call it a day as it was almost dark.

I lowered my bow to the ground, disconnected my seat from the tree, took my release off and placed it into my pants and began to descend to the ground. I was half way down and I notcied a doe in the heavy brush about 25 yards out. I thought to myself, "No way!" But, I decided to give it a try. I halued my bow back up, set an arrow, reached for my release and then my seat fell and hit my platform...BANG, CLANG, CLUNK! The doe jumped, stomped, etc. But could not identify me. I thought for sure I would be busted. Nope. She began to ever so slowly get closer and become more relaxed. I must have only been 7 fee off the ground. Next thing I know, she's 15 yards and broadside. Take my shot and she runs all but 40 yards and caves.

I thought for certain my day was over and then thought for certain no way could I pull that kill off especially being halfway to the ground without my bow! Go figure!

It's not a first. If you'll look below there's another post by the same name saying the same thing.[&:][&:][8D][8D][8D][8D]

Congrats on the doe meat.
