Last week I did the same thing. Two does were right under my feeder at 4:15 pm when I was walking to my stand. I spooked them off snorting as they left! But I thought what the heck I'll give it a try. About 6:15 another doe came through and then about 6:30 3 bucks (A small 10 point and 2 spikes) and another doe. I ended up shooting the smaller 10 point with a deformed rack. So sometimes we get lucky!

I had that happened to me many timesbut to be honest,it really dosn't happen with deer,for me that is!Turkey!now there's my prob.when ever I'm walking to my stand and I see a flock of turkey,I stop,get behind the nearest tree or in the nearest ditch.usually they'll start walking towards me anyway!Now with the little bit of deer I did see ,I would ponder the situation for a moment then maybe,make a stalk! I just can't stand it when deer or turkey are in the right spot but not at the right time!!!
