I don't know about clobex but tecnu skin cleanser works for me,don't cost very much,2 oz for $6.00,cvs or walgreen drug stores have this, first thing i do when i catch the rash, wash with good old soap and water, any water, then apply just a little on the infected area, then go back hunting.

A thorough scrub with hot soapy water followed by 1% hydrocortisone cream . Dries it up overnight in all but the most severe cases .

anything i have used never works. im sooo allergic to it that nothing the doctor gives me seems to help. so, all i do is scatch it lightly, just enough to open the pores, then put on some benadryl or acohol. do this about 2 days and twice a day. works and goes away in about 3 days. y spend lots of money if nothing they give works...(waste) i always would take a huge list of stuff that doesn't work that they already gave me, just to show them they are nutz.

Well, I've found the cure but it's not for everyone. My wife NEVER.... I MEAN NEVER...does yard work. So I was outside one day recently doing some work. She comes out and walks by a flower bed that has some poison ivy growing in it along with some other weeds. She starts yanking plants. I yelled at her, don't get in there...you'll get poison ivy. She said she wanted to do something. I said, don't do it there. Well, she yanked a couple more weeds and quit. You guessed it... poison ivy on both arms. So she's been fighting that. Went to the doctor and got a prescription. She started chemo again this week and showed here rash to the oncologist. He said, don't worry about that. Three days of chemo and it'll be gone. YUP... that chemo dries that stuff right up. It's the steroids they're givingher that clear it up. So if you can get ahold of someone from Balco and get some steroids... you're cured. Call Jose Conceco.[8D][8D]

The only thing that works (if you get it bad) is Prednizone. It is a dose pack perscribed by your doctor. The itch goes away in 1 night and the rash is gone in about two. The stuff is great. My family doctor is familiar with my condition to posion ivyand he has perscribed three dose packs for me to keep on hand. I always have them.

It also works great if you have back problems. Nothing worse than getting out in the wilderness and have your back go out.

keep in mind that prednizone is a steroid so don't take them like candy!

There is a cure for poison ivy before it start's breaking out .If you get into poison ivy ,when you get home wash down with Sunlight dish soap when you return home and it'll take the ooil's from the ivy off before they start reacting on your skin .I've used this on my son after he got into poison ivy when we were putting up treestand's this past summer ,a good friend gave me this tip and it worked .
