Great pics!

I also wear rubber boots and rubber gloves when setting up the scrape, and I use a stick to rework the scrape each time I check it. (Makes it easier to see the tracks in the dirt.)
Taking extra precautions to avoid leaving your own scent isTHE most important part of using any scent attractants in my opinion.

Good job!

Man those are some great pics. Good and clear.

What kind of trail camera do you use. I want to buy one to replace my digital stealth cam (junk), and I would sure like to know what that one is.
The trail camera that is on this mock scrape, is a USED "homebrew" I got off of EBAY. It feature an Olympus D-370 digital camera.

I am very happy with it.

This all begs the question - Where is Mr. Dampland during all this action? Could he be tucked away in the comfortable confines of his La-Z-Boy Recliner, or snuggled up next toMrs. Damplandin their luxurious Memory Foam mattress (engineered by NASA)?? Hmmmm....

I'm just jerkin' your chain - cool pictures - thanx for posting.

Sorry, no "Mrs. Dampland" .....yet.

I have been hunting in the area, but the only stand near this scrape needs a south Wind, so I haven't been able to hunt it.

However Saturday, I hunted in a stand about 150 yards from the mock scrape, and I saw 4 bucks, including letting a 8-pointer walk, that got within 7 yards. I have video of it, which I will try to post the link here soon.

Did you use active scrape doe in heat scent or what? Thanks.
The first time I filled the dripper, year old Active Scrape, and I also put some year old Tink's on the licking branch. then this past week, I put 2005 Active Scrape in the dripper, and I used some Tarsal Gland liquid on the licking branch.

I have NOT used any "doe-n-heat" type scents this year, as I haven't bought any.

That is sweet, looks like youve got a dandy visiting it in daylight hours too!

I bought two that Im going to setup this weekend and maybe get the trail cam on one of them. The one of them came with Active scrape scent and says to fill it no more then 1 1/4 OZ full. How do you know when to stop so you dont go over this mark? I noticed the Scrape bottle is 4 OZ itself.
I just pour in a visual 1/4 of the Active Scrape bottle.

Those are obviously very good pics. Needs to be an advertisement for Wildlife Research. Question, how are you getting so many good quality pics on your post all under 100kb? Special software. I use Paint Shop and Photoshop and I cannot get them compressed like you do.

Please let me know!
Sincerely,
Chris

I use Adobe Photoshop, and played with it quite a bit this weekend figuring out how to post pictures of my gobbler. Open the picture you want, then go to file, then save for web. When that screen comes up you can change options. I used jpeg format. Go down to the image size in pixels, change the top one to 600 or so, the bottom will change automatically as long as the box below is checked appropriately. There will also be a box that tells you the current image size in kb, you can watch the numbers change as you make changes. Just remember, the size of the file in kb is dependant on 2 things, the resolution, and the physical size of the image on your screen. The smaller you make the image, the more room is left for higher resolution. When you are ready hit apply, save the photo under a different name, and you should be good to go. I am no computer guru, but if you have trouble I will try to help.
