Default Bad news guys...tell me what you think

I just found out today that the farm I am hunting on is going to get logged this fall starting this week. Not clear cut- but I guess selectively. There is about 250 acres so I can stay away from the machines...but from what I understand he is going to be starting near the treestand I have seen 4 big bucks from this season, and missed 2. Will this ruin my hunting for the rest of season, or will the deer get used to him after a couple weeks and just adjust their patterns according to where he is working. I have other farmsa to hunt, buit just haven't had near the activity and especially buck activevity as I have had at this particular setup. This really sucks but could make the hunting better in the years to come I guess...anyhow, this ever happened to anyone else????

Thats a bad deal but at least you do have other places to go. You may stillget some action if you stay on the opposite side of the farm from the loggers. There
will be alot of browse for them next year too.

when the timber co. starts to cut timber where I hunt,I will get right behind them and set up my stand.I have found that the deer don't mind that kind of activity. I have saw them come in just as soon as the crew leaves for the day.I would hunt around the cutters and when they leave for the day, I would go right into the area they were cutting.
next year you should see more deer in that area.(more browse).

in my opinion don't worry bout the cutting,it want hurt.

I had the exact same thing happen 2 years ago right before my gun season, They stopped logging while my group was hunting. We saw deer all over andI figured we wouldnt see anything. They like the new browse and the new cover created by downfalls

Sounds like to me your hunting season was ruined before this latest development came about!!
