I was thinking that turkey make qiute a bit of noise scratching for food.
If your trying to walk quietly on dry leaves,I was wondering about giving a few clucks from my turkey call every now and then.
Do you think I could fool a deer that way or will I be a fool for trying it?

I have a turkey diaphram call with me almost all the time. The best use for it is if a deer gets spooked and cant figure out what spooked it, I give some clucks on the diaphram, and it has calmed an uneasy deer many times for me. As far as using it while you are walking, probably not, our footstep pattern is different from any animal out there and deer pick that out. If you want to disguise that, walk in like a squirrel, a few qiuick steps, then stop, and repeat

Hey everybody
When I go into the woods,I always carry a grunt tube and a peg & slate!I have called deer using turkey calls and turkeys using deer calls. Most of the time I'm out and see a flock of birds,I just sit and wait, they just start walking in my direction anyway!
