How much scent do you guys usually put out? Do you just put a few drops on a cotton ball or do you saturate it? I usually put out a few scent bombs during the rut and was wondering if i was wasting it by putting out too much. Thanks guys.

I'm not an expert, but I'd rather have too much on than too little.

I haven't used the scent bombs but I thought once you put some on the cloth that you are good to go for a while since you seal it back up when done.

I use tampons and put them back in a bag when done. I do put a few drops on them each time though since they are so absorbent.

Here is a little trick I started doing last year. I always hated messing with scents.No matter how hard I try, I still end up having the smell on my fingers when I put them out. Take a 35mm film canister. Take the lid and put two small slits in it. Then take a zip tie and put it through the holes making a loop and then snap it together. Then on the inside of the lid, attach a scent wick to the zip tie with a trash back twisty tie. When you're ready to use the scent, dip the wick in the scent to saturate it, put the wick down in the canister and snap the lid on it. Once you're to your stand, pull on the zip tie to pop off the lid and attached wick and hang on a limb. It works great and no scent on your fingers.

Great idea Muzzy, we've always used film canisters but never like that. Thanks for the info.
