been there done that...lol...but have patience and it will pay off.
my sister waited i think 7yrs to get her first turkey and now she's a turkey killin' fool...i've been after a turkey with a bow for 4seasons now and yesterday ended my bow season so i'll have to try again come spring...but at least you are out there trying, you're able to tell stories like the turkey that came in so close you could have stabbed him...it's the lil things like that...just imagine not being able to have the lil moments like that.
good luck and keep huntin' until you get yours...it'll happen.

And just think you could have stayed home and missed all that excitement. Why just a few weeks ago I had afawn doing hundred yard dashes in every direction known to man, at first I didn't no what was going on, but then I almost feel out of my stand with laughter, now thats what its all about.

Remember, you participate in a sport with only a 20 percent sucsess ratio...those are not good odds your in it for the challenge first...meat second.

Good luck out there and have fun

I havn't connected yet either, but I guess that it has been more by choice than lack of deer. I killed a mid 150 class 10 point last year, and the 5 bucks I have had in easy bow range just don't come close. They are starting to move though, and at last shooting light yesterday evening I had a nice 21/2 year old 8 point chasing a doe.. She broke away from him and I hit a few grunts on the true talker and he started thrashing a tree. This cat and mouse game went on for about 5 minutes and I finally grunted him in at 12 yards, broadside. I just smiled and let him go. No harvest, but a succesful; hunt none the less. I am set up on two different properties that have some nice shooters on them, so I am not trying to pressure them to much, because here in Indiana the best hunting isn't here yet. I am praying for those cold frosty mornings that get em' moving. Good luck, and hang in their, it will happen.
