Default To go or not to go Hunting?

I got off work early and have an hour to decide if I should head to the woods or not. One would think this to be rhetorical, only it is drizzling off and on. Temperature is 55 and Winds areESE at 6mph.Are deer active in this weather? There's a new spot by 2 apple trees I've been thinking about since Sunday.

Should I go considering rain (not just drizzle like today) is going to be in the forecast for the next few days? yay or nay and why?

Your never going to shoot a deer sitting in front of the computer wondering if you should hunt. And just because you hunt, doesnt mean you have to take a shot if your not 100% confident you can drop the deer fast.

If i had the time, i would be out there, considering that the wind is in my favor. If the wind is blowing towards where you think the deer are, or are going to be, then i would wait for a better wind to hunt that stand. As for the rain, that IMO is some of the best time to be out there, it makes for tracking an animal harder, but IMO big bucks feel safe in that type of weather and will move in it. Good luck to you if you get out there.

I'd be out there as well. I've had alot of luck in that type of weather.

Put it this way....If you go and see nothing, are you going to be upset? I have never gone and come back and thought "I wish I hadn't gone today".

Yes deer like this kind of weather. As long it's not a hard loud rain deer could care less. They like the cooler temps and they are water proof for the most part.

If it's one thing I've learned, you are never wasting your time hunting.
