So i have been watching this one area behind our construction warehouse for some time now, there have been some great bucks moving through this area along with TONS of does.Keep in mind, i own this property and is posted.Let me explain the area. It is in a very busy area across the street from a golf course andinbetween the golf course and a small airport. The strip ofwoods is only about 40 yards wide and about 150 yards long, but it is agreat funnel, all the deer travel this gettingfrom one spot to another. The funnel is EXTREMELY thick and the deer feel perfectlysafe in there. On the other sides of the property are large commercial buildings. Me feeder, stand and treesteps have been set up in there for a month and a half, and no one has been in there other than me. The reason i can tell is on either side of the funnel, there are all reeds, and the only way in without disturbing them is to walk down the property a ways and walk up it. You cant walk in these reeds without leaving a trail. So anyway, last time i was in there was monday to feed it, i goyesterday afternoon to hunt it and everything is gone.I couldnt believe it. You cant even see this track of woods from the street so i was pissed. The funny thing is, even though i cant prove it, im 99% positive who it was. When i was coming out of the woods on monday, two men who rent a small section of the warehouse, came up and asked me if i have been seeing big deer and what not. You could tell they were hunters and probably just figured, who the hell is this guy coming in andhunting back there. Welltherewas a huge trailknocked down through the reeds going straight from the parking lot near their door in the back of the warehousestraight through the reeds and stright to my stand. Seems like a conincidence that its been undisturbed for a month and a half and then i have a run in with these characters and then its gone. Oh well, too bad they didnt know thatim their land lord and after the call i placed to their boss this morning, if itwas them, they are going to have an extremely hard time doing business when theyget kicked out! Im a firm believer that what goes around comes around, so lets just see if its true. Some people are such jerks, sorryabout the long post, i just had to vent.

Sorry to hear about your luck. So they took your feeder and stand? Hope you get them back.

Have to be careful not to wrongfully accuse someone just to save face. You have the right to be mad but I think I would contact yer local law enforcement and let them take a look maybe they would have some ideas. When you point the finger and end up wrong it makes you look bad not the ones that did the dastardly deed.

i can see both sides...but i'm not sure that he could even name the two guys that he has in mind...so i'm thinkin' that in the phone call he didn't actually accuse them two straight out...he probably just hinted as to who they were and what they were askin'...and that he was just curious/suspicious...but hey Njbuck keep us posted on any further info you get from this...we all like to see some closure to this subject

I am sorry to hear about what happened. For someone to pull something like that after you put all that time and effort into it has to be frustrating.

I'd just ask the two guys in question. You never know they may just give the stuff back if they have it. Worth a try IMO
