OMG I am so MADDDDDD

A little background about me.
I am in Panama City, Panama and have been for the past 7 days. I went hunting on opening day and got the deer most of you have looked at in my previous post. My brother calls me a min. ago at work and tells me we have a big problem. I figured it had nothing to do with hunting being as how we have had pretty good luck out there for the past 10 years.
He said he was hunting Sunday and that as soon as it got enough light to see that two hunters were trying to get a four wheeler across our fence and on to our property. As they tried to lift the fence he yell's at the top of his lungs..... HEY!
He said the two hunters just froze up as if they had been caught escaping from jail. As he approached with bow in hand the two hunters asked him who he was. He replied in a nice southern tone of course "the man who owns your fate." So the two hunters go into how they shot this 9 point buck with a drop tine right near our fence two days ago and they are looking for him. My brother is in shock by now. He said the two guys said they didn’t know anyone hunted this land. We have been hunting the land for the past ten years almost. The guys then later in the conversation said they had killed a 12 point with two drop tines the previous year in the same spot.
As my brother probed for more questions from the two men, one of them asked who owns the stand at the bottom of the hill they were standing on. My brother tells him that it is my stand and then proceeds to ask them. If you didn’t know anyone was hunting here how did you know there was a stand at the bottom of the hill? And wouldn't it tell you something being as how the stand is new? The two guys now completely caught in one lie or another start asking if they can track there deer, and told him how they had been tracking him for two days all over the top of the ridge my brothers favorite stand is on.
My brother at this point is about to lose his mind. He says lets try and find your deer and then let’s talk to the game warden, since you two have no respect for the no trespassing signs that we have up. Or we can look for your deer, and you can expect to see us on your land in the future. Being as how the game warden lives very close the two men decided that it would be best to share the area and not say anything when we decide to tromp on there land.....
This angers me so much. Why do people not respect the law of the land and the signs they house. When I get home Thursday, I am now worried about one the deer that is probably decaying on our land, where no deer will be anywhere near it now, and two How many times have these ******* been on our land and been hunting in my stand when I am not around? I am soooooooo Pissssed

So wait, instead of turning them in, you guys are going to say nothing and start hunting the other land? Im kind of lost. I agree, people have no respect. This one place i hunt is right on the river, and every year we have to kick someone off, mostly during rifle season. Id say make sure they stay off, and if they dont, put a little board with nails on the top of your stand so when the sit they get a little surprise. Just make sure you dont forget about the board when you decide to sit.

That problem runs rampant not only in the hunting world, but in society in general. People just have no respect for anything anymore.
I would say, though....I would let the game warden know and stay off of their property. The retaliators always get called on the foul.

just get a hold of the authorities. Don't trespass on their land that's not the answer. Trust me. Take care of it the right way like a responsible sportsmen. It'll all work out, don't worry just get a hold of the DNR and it'll be ok. Don't worry too much, just contact the right people and it will get taken care of.

I agree with you and i would probably never do this without permission, but if i shot a huge buck and i knew it jumped the fence I would have a hard time not going and looking for it. But I would rather call the landowner then get mistaken fora deer. But good luck with those guys.

I don't think a dead decaying deer will run all the deer off of your property, for starters. Coyotes will find it soon and clean it up, if there are any around.
I agree with the others, tell the warden about the situation. Stay off of thier property, at least until you get permission in writing. Otherwise, what's to stop them from catching you on thier property, and them turning you in! And there you are,, stuck with, "Honest officer, they told me I could hunt over here, honest!"

Thanks for your insight! I have decided to call the warden myself. Yeah I would love to hunt that land, but even if I obtained written permission. Who is to say that it is valid. If they tresspass on my land they may have been on the others as well. I appreciate the thoughts, and I realize as I read my own post, I was thinking in anger which is never good.
