im in the buisness of buyin a new bow and would like some input. i currently shoot a fred bear whitetail quest, but im wanting a newer one. im parshall to pse and bear but suggestions would be greatly accepted. my draw length is 29 in, im a muscular guy so draw weight isnt a big factor. id like to buy a package bow with a whisker bicuit on it and good sights. my money range is $400. id like to try and not go over. i looked at a pse firestorm and really liked the setup, the typhoon is another nice bow but id like to hear if theres any particulars in my price range yuo guys really like.
thanks 1shot,

I,m into bear bows also, I shoot a TRX 32 and it's a fine bow but Bear has a new one out called the SQ 32.Looks like an awsome bow. They did the parrallel limb setup like Bowtech, which is a fine shooting bow also.
check it out SQ 32
Nonsense on being to close to the season . I can buy a bow and set it up in a couple of hours and start drilling them at 30 yds. its not rocket science.

Zrex,
Set up a bow in a couple hours? You can. I can, too, but the average guy doesn't know how to a nockset on let alone tune it. 31 years of shooting compounds and never had one in a shop. I do 100% of my own work.
1shot,
If you are set on one of the two lines above I would definitely take Bear over PSE. A nice bow that retails at $300 is the SQ2. It has cam+1/2 technology and a decent buy for the money. Depending on what accessories are on your present bow you could swap them to the new bow and save a few dollars.
PSE doesn't really make a decent bow till you get to the $500 range. Some will argue this and say that they sell a lot of bows and its true. A lot of low end stuff to people who don't have or don't want to spend a lot of money. From the Firestorm on down they all share the same limbs and I've seen A LOT of them split or break. PSE will replace them, of course. Just hope they don't give up the ghost right before season (just had one in the shop last night).

I agree that its a little too late to be bow shopping. I would suggest looking into one of the Pearson(Pitbull) orDiamond packages in Cabelas. Not sure how they relate in price to the Pse's or Bear bows, but I have heard good things of both and looking at them they seam to be a good deal.

I baught a 2005 Bowtech Tomkat in Feb and love it. I robin hooded my first arrow ever this week at 25 yards. Shoots about 260 with full hunting set up, 29 inch draw. They have a package now 439 Bow,Hush Kit,Drop away rest, and sights and sling and even 6 carbon arrows for 435.00.....Now thats is a deal on sweet little shooter. Do a seach on it and check it out.
