It sounds to me like your machine might be bogged down with Spyware, Adware and a other assorted junk......mine really started slowing down until I caught on and started using Spyware and Virus scans.
I caughthundreds ofdifferent programs that were on my machine without me knowing it.[:-]

It could run like my old Pentium 1 that had a 1.2 gig harddrive and a whopping 16 megs of ram and I would be happy. Well, maybe not happy.....but I wouldn't be bitchin.
