Do deer eat Beech and Hickory nuts or are the nuts too hard for them?

I would definately set up in the white oaks section before anywhere else.If there is crop fileds close by then set up in between the white oaks and the crops. It is a can'tgo wrong setup

I have to say that the deer in my neck of the woods most definitely eat beechnuts. I have seen them do so and the dozens of empty husks laying on the ground are pretty goodfurther evidence.

Deer will hit the white oaks first, but once they are gone, they will switch to the beech nuts, which fall a little later. They will suck them up like a hoover.
