Default Wisconsin Opener--

Wiscosin bow season opened today and i was out all day. Did not see any deer until about 7:15 pm. Watched a 6 pointer come in and the an 8 pass out of range. The 8 stopped and looked back and trotted off. He as scared off by a monster 12 pointer. He came to a bout 27 yards and i took a broadside shot....Missed low.

He spooked not to bad and walked away. and continued feeding about 45 yards out.

He has been using this logging road night after night.....So heres to tomm!!!!

Do you use a grunt tube. Use low calls to bring them in and wack'em.

Sounds like you had a productive day even with the miss! Made the same mistake last year...tough to forget about.

I hunt in Dunn County and with 5 other guys. Only saw does and took one Saturday evening 20 yards broadside. Most of the guys didn't see anything...just not moving for some reason. For the first year ever there was nothing in our 40 acre bean field...WOW! Not a deer. It is still pretty green but what a suprise!

I was up in Ladysmith, hunting the big woods. Between me and the other guys we seen about 20 does and fawns, 3 bears, and not one buck. I don't know where the bucks were hiding.
