Morning Or Evening

I would have to say evenings. I have had most of my luck in the evenings. Just
something about those last 30 minutes before dark and you just know something
is about to happen. But of course I will be out there early opening morning
too!!!

All day for me...except for a short lunch break.
My favorite is EARLY morning..especially in mid-November. The Leonid meteor shower peaks at this time. Quite a show to say the least. This year get out early Nov 14-Nov 21..with the peak being the 17th. Last year it was crazy at 4am in my neck of the woods.

that's a tough one. i'm not real fond of setting up my climber in the dark, but then again packing up in the dark isn't much better. i'm about equal with morning or evening success, just being in different places at different times. mornings give you a lot more options for the hunt and the opportunity to change it up if you get bored with it and there's no action -stand, stalk, sleep, lol...doesn't seem to be as many annoying bugs in the early morning as the afternoon/evening either. but i love to hunt both, sometimes dark to dark. anytime in the woods is a good time in my book.

I prefer both. Like you, I enjoy getting out there, in the stand, settled in and watching the stars fade, horizon light up, listen for foxes and deer walk in the distance without seeing them, seeing the woods light up and come to life. Plus, I get more done in the morning before 9AM and home without the wife complaining too much. I usually have decent luck during shotgun season hunting in the morning and better luck during bow in the afternoon. But, I like the morning the best for what I stated above and that it's easier to track knwoing you have lots of daylight instead of worrying aout tracking late in the day as daylight fades.

I am with Illinois Bowhuntin. I prefer the afternoons and my best spots are afternoon spots but once the rut kicks in I usually hunt all day long. I have killed several deer in the morning s but it's usaully later in the morning but all in all I prefer the evening hunt.
