Default Broadhead test results..

This certainly isn't scientific by any means, but I just wanted to let you guys know what I found in what I've been shooting for broadheads.

For the last week or so, I've been shooting the G5 Montec, Rocket Sidewinder 3 and a slick trick side by side both at 20 yards and at 30 yards. All BH'sare 100grain using a Beman ICS 400 with 4" dura vanes coming out of my Xtec set at 68lbs. I don't know if any of that info matters, but just wanted to give you the setup.

Iam very happy with the performance of all 3 of them so far. They all flew just as my field tips did. I tuned my bow about 2 months ago and have been shooting field tips until about 2 weeks ago. I haven't had to change my setup one bit from one BH to another. I don't think I'd have a problem putting any of these 3 on my hunting arrows this fall. I just wanted to toss out my experience with the 3 so far.

Good hunting!!

Thanks for the info. I'm getting ready to try my broadheads I have been shooting thunderheads 100 and have had very good luck with them. But I just had my bow string and cables replaced and I'm hoping everything is OK. If you can belive it I have been bow hunting for 24 years and can't tune a bow a lick. Good luck Mike

Sounds like you have a very well tuned bow and arrow setup. I look forward to hearing how each head does in the field...if the situation presents itself.

Sounds like you have that Xtec tuned pretty darn well.

Are you shooting the Montec preseason blades or the real deal and are gonna resharpen?

I have heard so many people say nice things about the Slick Tricks but they have no real visual appeal to me...........just a goofy hang up of mine. I like my broadheads to look cool [8D]
