I'm pretty sure its a bobcat. I think the reason there is a descrepancy to whether things are present or not has to do with the monitor you are looking at. I have an LCD screen and the spots on it show up like day and night. Also I can clearly see the tail and it is at the most 6 inches long, and that is if it is tucked in tight and only the bottom sticks out the back. Other wise I wouldn't say its more than 2-3 inches long. I can also see the little black guard hairs sticking out of the ears. Plus the overall size of it is rather small for it to be a Mt. lion comparing it to the salt block.

I know I'm not an expert by any means, but it definitally looks like a bobcat to me.

It could go either way, but look at how square and blocky the head and snout are. Bobcats don't have that going for them....

I would be scared to share a hunting camp with those of you that can't easily identify this animal as an average sized bobcat. I hope you all know what a whitetail looks like. Some of you are going to be shooting at the neighbors horse!

Unbeleivable, now I know why so many people see 200" deer and 400" elk:D......It's a bobcat.........No question about it......Unless of course it's a really big tabby that looks exactly like a bobcat......
