Lynx.......more tufted ears..a bit longer tail than a Bobcat.......

This is a Canadian Lynx....looks similar...the ears especially ( Lynx family )

Hey its a cougar, the only reason i know because the fir on the animal is to smooth to be a bobcat and it has the Character of a cougar.

I showed the picture to my Wildlife ecology professor and he said it is definitely a bobcat.

-Short tail

-If you look close its belly hair is spotted and slightly shaggy

-The reason its head looks like that of a cougar is because it is doing something called "flehmen"where they activate an organ just behind the incisors to detect pheromones

It looks like a cougar, but it hasthe tail of a bobcat or lynx. Mybe it is a cougar that lost part of his tail in a fight or an accident... could be. Alot of animals lose parts like that.

By the size of the cat and the shape of it's head it looks more like a cougar then any bob cat or lyxn that I have ever seen??

First of all a bobcat is in the family of the lynx and thats why most of you are mistaking it for a lynx. Second the canadian lynx is extinct from PA. So in order for that to be a lynx they have to be making a comeback that no one knows about. Here is another picture of a bobcat. Showing clearing the same size and characteristics of the other picture. Notice the longer tail and the tips of the ears. Exactly the same
