hello heeze - go back to the beginning of the thread, the first pic is a bobcat the 2nd is a canadian lynx. and for the record, i am a taxidermist.

Well,

Being the expert game identifier that I am, honestly, I say it looks more like an immature mountain lion than a bobcat. We have both in Arkansas, though the AGFC denies it.

I don't think mountain lions are as rare as we make them out to be...

I was catching up on this thread yesterday when my wife walked in and wanted to know what I was laughing at. I started reading the 16 pages of guesses about the "animal" picture. She was laughing just as hard as I was. Oh by the way...she votes for a cougar...she is partial to them so her vote was influenced.

Yup, it's a lynx alright. where's my money. For my next trick I'm gonna pick yet another cat that doesn't live in the state and claim that I am yet again the king of animal identification. Now if I can only figure out why my cat weighs 80lbs and barks at the mailman.:D:D
