do a search for ghost juice... that post comes up every year... its a mixture of baking soda, Hydrogen Peroxide and water..... can't remember the ratio off the top of my head ... but I use it and I will swear by it ... it definately works and costs pennies to make

16 oz Hydrogen peroxide
16 oz Distilled water
1/4 cup baking soda
1 oz scent free soap or shampoo

Let stand for several day in a washed out milk jug (leave the lid loose to let pressure escape)

That would be considered a scent killer not a cover scent. Scent killer has a place in hunting cover scents don't IMO

Excuse my ignorance on the subject, but what takes away the odor of the hydrogen peroxide, the baking soda?

I've made home made acorn , cedar , pine , and persimmon . All worked , but once those discs came out I haven't had to come up with any for a long time . Cedar and pine also seemed to attract a few bucks , I guess they thouight I was a "rub" ... The other two attracted more does , both appeared to do the job since I seldom got busted .

What exactly does peroxide smell like? I've smelled the opened bottle of peroxide and can smell very little of anything! What I can smell in this concoction is the scent free soap. And once you applie it to your skin or anything else you can't smell anything!
I know that some expert says your supposed to use un stabilized hydrogen peroxide but thats pretty hard to come by!
