I would tend to agree with the others. 200 seems like a fair estimate. It is hard to judge though in the poor lighting. The 5 gallon bucket does add some perspective to it.

He is at the good eating size. Unless you are looking for a really BIG trophy size bear or a different color...shot him. I shot one about this size two years ago and he was (is) tastie

it definately isn't huge but it is a pretty nice bear. if i had the opportunity i would probably take him unless i could see one that's bigger. luckily this year i may get a chance at a black bear!!!!

The bear looks to be a young male probly 2yrs old, Useing the bucket as a refrence I would say the bear is around 200# long legs and no belly tells me his young, Iam no expert but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night,,,,,,but yeah, I belive it's a young male..
