How Long Can You Hold At full Draw?

I was out practicing today and thought I would see how long I could hold and still hit a 1" target dot at 20 yards. After 1 minute my forearm was starting to burn so I took the shot and hit it. I would say I held it for about 70 seconds. The whole time I was trying to stay pretty much on target. It was a lot harder than I thought.

How many practice this?

Being honest, how long can you hold your bow at full draw and still hit a bullseye at 20 yards?

Just being curious.

Ive never timed myself, but I know that when I practice, if I dont feel right within the first few seconds, I drop and recompose myself. I SHOULD practice holding full draw.

I practice this, and for me I can only hold full draw about 2 minutes,, at 60# and 65% let off, but as soon as I don't feel comfy I let off and regroup,,

Like I said, I was just curious. How many times has an animal not cooperated when you were at full draw? Sometimes you have to let down and then you don't get a second chance. [&:] I think I will start practicing this and try to reach 2 minutes while still being accurate. Just in case I need to. The problem I have around my area is that there are so many deer, mainly does, so there are a lot of eyes looking for hunters. Drawing becomes a real challenge sometimes. Right now I am pulling 67# but I might drop it if I can't hold it for long. I know that I should let it down and then draw again. I will do that if everything is right but if not, I would like to know that I can hold my bow at full draw for a while.

Just timed myself.

1 Minute - Still fine, no shaking, no burning
1 Minute 30 Seconds - Starting to feel the burn in forearm and release shoulder
1 Minute 45 Seconds - Still feeling the burn, starting to shake
2 Minutes 3 Seconds- Let down

I could have held longer if I absolutely had to. Mind you this is while holding on a target at 20 yards.

62lbs, 65% letoff.

tried this myself tonight, but i have done it many times, but never timed myself. what i usually do is take my practice shots, usually between 20-30, and then i take my last shot and try to hold it for an extended period of time, somewhere over a minute. I have never actually timed myself before, but tonight i timed myself and could hold it for about 1 min. and 30-40 seconds before i felt that i should take a shot. I am pulling 82lbs, with 65% letoff. I did it twice in a row, with about the same results, so im pretty sure about 2 minutes would be my limit.
