Bow creaking?
#1
Everytime i go to shoot my bow, it creaks the first time i draw it back. I bought the bow this summer brandnew so i took it back and had the guy re-lube the limb pockets but it still does it. Should i worry about this? Does this happen to anyone else? Thanks.

I always draw my bow back once i'm up in my stand, so i'm not worried about it creaking when i draw on a deer. Its only the first time i draw back, i dont think its ever happen on the second shot. I just wanted to make sure it wasnt something serious. Thanks guys

Re: Creaking:
I had the same problem this year before bowhunting season began. I have a Martin Magnum. The shop didn't believe me which kind of eerked me but they should takecare of it for you or they aren't worth dog excrement. They finally took care of it, but it took me staying there waiting for it to be fixed then shooting it at their range a couple dozen times before it started doing it again andthe staff heardthe creaking. Then I made sure they fixed it properly.

I also had this problem a while ago. My issue wasn't so much the limb pockets (which is a very good possibility) but axel in the cams needed to be lubed. I haven't had a problem in a year and a half since. Good Luck

I was going to say something along the lines of Fl.huntress. Make sure that the limb is not cracked somewhere.
I just had a bow dropped off Friday for repair. Someone had told the owner that his limbs had cracked. I looked over his limbs for about ten minutes and for the life of me I couldn't see them anywhere. I drew the bow back multiple times and no creeking what so ever. I had to take the limbs off the bow before I was able to see the cracks on the bottom side of the limbs under the limb bolt.
It's probably not a cracked limb but make sure before you go hunting.

A cracked limb can be a very scary thing though make sure that is what it is before asking for replacements. As the others mentioned it could be the limb pocket but then it could also be up around the axle area as well. Have you isolated the sound to one specific area of the bow and/or limbs?
