the weather that is. I have been checking the forecast for this weekends opener all week long. All wee they have been predicting low in the mid 50's and high in the upper 70's all week long, I was psyched! the as the week progressed along it kept getting warmer and warmer until now it is going to be a typical Texas opener; lows in the mid 60's and highs in the low 90's. <img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>
Oh well, you can bet I'll be giving the scent lok a major test on it's maiden hunt.
Good Luck to all.

I hunt north of Lampasas, just outside of Evant. My lease is split down the middle between Coryell & Lampasas counties. The amount of deer in this area is just unbelievable. I probably won't kill a B&C animal, but I have seen a few that I have no doubt would make P&Y.

I knew what your post was going to refer to before I opened it. The weatherman is such a tease. I was siked for cool weather, but will have to settle for "low of 65". With a high of 90 it pretty much rules out evening hunts for me. Too dang hot to use a climber!!
Good luck to Ya!!!

I feel your pain Mike, a lot of these "Northern" boys don't know what its like to hunt the first few weeks of the season in 90 degree weather. I'm not sure anything will cover your scent after your soaking wet from climbing 20ft up a tree at 90degrees and 100% humidity. However, here in Mississippi, opening weekend is often very good for harvesting deer despite the high temps. Good luck.
