Default distressed fawn

we live on about 10 acres and we have about a half acre plot of timber on it. For the last few weeks i have been seeing a doe and a fawn pass threw regularly and today the fawn has stayed in the timber all by itself. It is very young probably about 25 pounds. I put some corn down there this evening but I dont know if its old enough to eat solids. I sure hope it make it.

Even though the fawns are still nursing, they are also browsing. Should make it unless a predator gets it.

I would tend to agree. It should be fine. Both it and the doe probably feel safe in the area otherwise they would not be using it.
