Should I take him?

My guidelines as of the last few years has been work for for the big ones. Anything making 125 net I will take in a blink. It's not like Pope and Young deer are around every tree here in Minnesota where our gun season is in the peak of the rut.
Problem is I can't tell if he would make book or not. He has to be close but his G3 on the right looks funky. What's your take?

His G3 does look a little tweeked, but a damn fine looking animal regardless. I look for a good buck every year, and I wouldn't hesitate a bit taking him. Even with the tweeked G3; it gives him some character, and if you manage to take, you can maybe figure out why it's a little messed up. I shot a nice 8 point last year with the rifle that his whole left side looked weird, and it turned out when I got the European mount done that his whole head was actually crooked looks weird as hell, but it makes a nice conversation piece.
Good luck on him, and who cares about the score if you like what you see!

No question! He would make you and any other hunter afine trophy and I am confident that he will gross well over the 125 mark. But I am not sure he would net 125? with the short G3. But for myself? That would be a shooter never the less[&:]
