Not a lot of mass on him. He'll be better in a year or two. That said, I don't give a rats... I'm shooting him.[8D]

I have a self imposed standard as well--enjoy the season, and take only the legal bucks that I am happy to take.I don't get caught up on his 'score', but on how I hunted him and I concentrate on having a quality hunt rather than on worrying about someone else's concept of whether or not he is a 'shooter' . Obviously, I have just as much desire as the next to take anice buck, but that definition is not dictated to me by the 'trophy police' out there who seem to feel the need to impose their standards on everyone else.Every hunter has the need to stay legal, and hunt ethically, but they're not under any obligation to those that have created this artificial atmosphere of a mythical , and unhealthy for the sport, and for the deer herd, goal of raising the bar so to speak, to attempt to establish an unnatural balance in the buck/doe ratio, and in the attempt to manipulate the genetics, and age structure of the deer herd. The natural process has never been so picky, and is not controled by greed or ego, so why do we think we're doing a service by attempting to 'cull' our way into a 'superior' deer herd.Those genes you so-called just culled have long since been passed through multiple deer, buck and doe alike , and will continue regardless of our 'tactics'.Why don't we just get back to enjoying the thrill of the hunt, and concentrate on a quality experience rather than attempting to create an atmosphere of competition? Hunt wild, hunt hard, and hunt clean--but live and let live the hunter who has the guts to bypass this 'trophy craze' and is appreciative of all that is involved in the wild, and is content to let it remain pure, natural, and unmanipulated through artificial 'mangement' attempts!--oh yeah, I guess that means I would recommend that, if your happy about the hunt and the process of taking him, go for it!

Great picture but bad angle to judge him. I think he is bigger then 125 net and should at least gross out at 135 - 140. Other then the funky G3... he has good tine height. Mass is decent. Going by his left ear... he is wider then his ears.

Looking at his body, he is 3 or 4 years old. Definitely not some scrawny 2.5 year old with good antlers. I would take him in a heart beat. He is a good buck.
