Hmmm.......I have shot the heck out of mine with no problems. They stick just fine, in fact, I can't pull them off if I try.
The only difference I can think of is you are using aluminum. Come to think of it, I don't think any of us who have done the spray cresting have used anything but carbon. I wouldn't think that would make any difference, but it's the only difference I can think of.
I have some old aluminum lying around, give me some time to get some done, and I'll see what I can come up with.

What i did to over come this was too put the arrow in the jig and trace where the fletching would go and then scrapejust enoughpaint from that area only. Then I fletched them.
Guess we need to find the right paint that won't react to the glue.
But this procedure has worked for me so far.
here is a link for a pic i just posted.

I have some experience in automotive paint on alum. We always rough up the surface slightly with 220 grit or scotchbright in order to get the paint to "grab onto" if you will. I'm not shur with an arrow, but I would assume since it's alum. the concept to get the paint to hold would be the same. we also use a good sealer/primer to help the bonding. If you don't, it ends up flaking off, are you guys roughing the surface prior to painting it? just a thought..
