Wondering what the pros and cons of the magnus buzzcut are vs the regular magnus stinger 4 blade without the serrated blade? I am going to try the magnus broadhead this year, but don't know which to get. Thanks.

I like the original stingers alot, but I think I'm going upgrade to some buzzcuts this year. The slightly wider cutting diameter is a plus, as long as it still flys as good, but the real seller to me is the serrations. I know every time I cut a finger on my pocket knife, that the serrated part of the blade is to blame......it seems like serrations never dull. I'm sure they'd saw right throught the cartilage and bone, where a smooth blade may deflect.I think of it this way...how do you cut rope? Onepull with a serrated knife or sawbackandforth witha smooth blade? I know I haven't cutfirstpiece of flesh yet, but it cant be much different!

I've been shooting the Buzzcuts for a couple of weeks now and they fly great. The hit exactly where my filed points hit. They are sharp as He!!. Can't wait to use these things this season.......

My opinion is that you are better off with a straight edged broadhead. This is why. The physiology of blood clotting involves clots starting to form on the torn edges of the fleshsurrounding the cut. The more surface area of torn flesh around a cut provides more area for the clotting to attach to. A straight, sharpedge leaves a smooth surface while a serrated edge leaves a ragged surface with more surface area to form the base for clotting. for the same size cut, a straight blade leaves less surface area. That's why a razor cut bleeds more. You are better off with a straight edge.

Steelforce has had serrated heads for quite sometime, and have had great production... you guy's might be right about the whole clean cut thing, but i dont think a serrated edge will cause u a disadvatage...orpro-long a kill ???

Here is a review of the buzzut. The performance in my tests was identical but the buzz cuts look "cooler"

Thank's for the replys everyone, but you guys aren't making my decision any easier. I guess you can't go wrong with either head. By the sounds of things it is a personal preference.
